Learn to Row Day
June 9, 2007, 8:30 am-12pm
BCRA will once again
participate in US Rowing's National Learn to Row Day on June 9th by
offering a free rowing clinic. Instruction will be given in sculling,
kayaking and sweep rowing. Anyone interested in trying out the sport
of rowing is invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for people
to try rowing in single or double sculls and kayaks! It is a wonderful
sport suitable for people of all ages. Competitive and recreational
rowers range in age from 12 to the mid-90's, so it is never too early
or too late to take up the sport. BCRA Learn to Row Day participants
must be at least 12 or over, and anyone under 18 must have parental
permission.
Kayak Rentals
Both closed and open kayaks are available. Suggested minimum
donation $10 per hour. Renters must wear a life jacket and sign a
waiver. Please note: you will get wet in open kayaks!
